Vinyl Fence Calculator
Vinyl (PVC) fencing has grown rapidly in popularity thanks to its zero-maintenance appeal. Pre-assembled panels slide between routed vinyl posts, making installation straightforward. Available in privacy, semi-privacy, picket, and ranch-rail styles. High-quality vinyl withstands UV, moisture, and insects without paint or sealant. Most manufacturers offer 20–30 year warranties.

Advantages
- Zero maintenance—no painting or staining ever
- 20–30+ year lifespan with warranty
- Clean, uniform appearance
- Resistant to rot, insects, and moisture
- Many styles available (privacy, picket, ranch)
Considerations
- Higher upfront cost ($20–$35/ft)
- Can crack in extreme cold
- Limited color options (white, tan, gray)
- Difficult and expensive to repair
- Panels cannot follow uneven ground easily
Installation Tip
Set vinyl posts deeper than wood posts (30–36 inches) because vinyl flexes more in wind. Fill posts with concrete for maximum strength. Use a rubber mallet, not a hammer, when fitting panels to avoid cracking.
